We are pleased to let people know that Matt Clare has joined our team as a faculty liaison. Matt will be responsible for migration coordination for the Academic Toolbox Renewal initiative; his responsibilities will include serving as rapporteur for all of the LME migration working groups, and coordinating the work of migration assistants who will be helping departments, programs and instructors migrate from the Portal to our new teaching and learning environment. Matt will be working closely with the operations team, colleagues in CTSI, and the University’s Project Management Office to support the successful migration over the coming year. And of course, very closely with divisional colleagues.

Matt joins us from Brock University, where he has held a number of progressive positions, including most recently as manager of e-learning. His prior experience includes significant leadership in Brock’s previous LMS migration, and he is held in high regard by both the Brock community and his peers in other institutions, especially those in the Ontario university e-learning community.

We look forward to having Matt on the team, and I know he is eager to hit the ground running in supporting this exciting initiative.
