Project Communique: Jan. 19, 2018

Hello everyone,

Hope you are doing well.

You are receiving this email because you have been identified as the Toolbox Renewal Initiative Key Communication Contact (TBRKCC) for your Division to lead the project communication with your division. I am CCing the Toolbox Renewal Technical and Training Leads (TBRTTL) at each Division as well.

Today we released an university wide communication about Quercus and a video that can be viewed at toolboxrenewal.utoronto.ca latest news.

We would like to schedule one hour divisional Quercus information sessions at each division to come and talk about Quercus and provide more information about the project. This is the first one of more to follow.   We need your support to coordinate such meeting.
We need  you to kindly:

2- Select a date that works for your division and type in your division name in the slot beside the time slot

3- Send out communication and invite to your faculty and staff to attend the session.

4- Book a room for us in your division to come and present that fit the expected number of attendees

5- Confirm the date, location and expected number of attendees with us.

We recommend setting up a registration system for your division to track who will attend.

The purpose of these information sessions are to:

1- Provide an overview of the project to the end users
2- Show a short demo of the system
3- Advise of the actions (e.g. archiving course content) the end user has to take
4- Share the coming training session and support that will be provided
5- Answer questions

Please feel free to reach out to me directly or email for any further information!

Thank you

Subject: Toolbox Renewal: Sandbox in Quercus

Hello everyone!

Happy New Year to all. Hope you enjoyed the holidays!

You are receiving this email because you have been identified as the Toolbox Renewal Initiative Key Communication Contact (TBRKCC) for your Division. I am CCing the Toolbox Renewal Technical and Training Leads (TBRTTL) at each Division as well.

As you may have already heard the new LME name is Quercus and the website address is: q.utoronto.ca

https://toolboxrenewal.utoronto.ca/2017/12/20/contest-winner-quercus/

Before the holidays we created the Sandbox for every instructor in the calendar to enable all instructors explore Quercus. Instructors can to go q.utoronto.ca and log in with their UTORID and password to access their Sandbox.

Can you kindly communicate with your community about this opportunity and encourage them to use their sandbox and learn more about Quercus!

More information can be found on our website: https://toolboxrenewal.utoronto.ca/2017/12/20/holiday-sandboxes/

Once users sign into Quercus, there is an instructor information page available with more information.

We are currently scheduling divisional information sessions for end users and will reach out to you shortly to coordinate for your division.

We already have 43 courses including 3250 students using Quercus as early adopters this term!

Please feel free to reach out to me directly or email [log in to unmask] for any further information!

Thank you
