Project Communique: April 20, 2018

Hello everyone,

Hope you are doing well.

You are receiving this as you are the key technical and training lead for your division and key communication contact for each division has also been cced.

Training

Following up with my previous communication, we are now at the phase of training the end users.

As the Technical and Training leads please kindly inform us of your divisional training plans and scheduled training sessions so we can post the time and location on our website. CTSI is also offering some virtual and in person QuickStart Quercus workshop that can be shared with your community. The schedule is posted on our website: https://toolboxrenewal.utoronto.ca/training-and-support/training-schedules/

Furthermore, CTSI has developed a 12 minute QuickStart Quercus training video that can be shared with your community and is very helpful to help them get started: https://youtu.be/qmUquZvF7wk

If you require assistance with running your training sessions please contact us.

Content Migration

The summer shells are now available and fall course shells will become available by May 1. With Portal going away on August 31, 2018, it is essential for ALL content to be backed up and all fall courses be build in Quercus.
Matt Clare is leading this initiative. Please reach out to us to work on your divisional content migration plan and schedule your divisional migration clinic sessions with our content migration assistants if required.

As shared previously, the experience of other institutions going through the same process has been it is best to build the courses fresh in the new LME rather than export/import. More guidelines are posted on https://toolboxrenewal.utoronto.ca/training-and-support/content-migration/
