Project Communique: July 11, 2018

Good morning everyone!
Hope you are enjoying the summer!
Please see the recent Toolbox renewal project updates:

Communication

As we are getting closer to August 31, 2018 deadline we continue to reach out to the community about Quercus and content migration from Portal to Quercus.

All divisions have had information sessions, training and content migration clinics for their community.  We have Quercus Training posters on the digital screens around the university in addition to communicating them through our various communication channels.

To ensure we are reaching out to those who may not be on campus during the summer months we will be mailing out a letter by end of July reminding faculty members of the Aug 31, 2018 deadline and migrating to Quercus for September.

Technical

All course shells for Summer 2018, Fall 2018 and Winter 2019 are available on Quercus and ready for content migration.

To date there has been some activity on 420 Summer course shells, 431 Fall/Winter Course shells and 716 sandbox course shells with over 650 unique instructors and over 12000 students accessing Quercus in the last 30 days!

You can follow the project progress on our website: https://toolboxrenewal.utoronto.ca/progress/

Training

In addition to 100s of training sessions held centrally and divisionally, we will be having three weeks long tri-campus Quercus Training and Content Migration Clinics from Aug 20 into September to provide greater support before start of the term. More information about the location and times will be shared on our website.

Furthermore, we have held over 90 content migrations clinics and we continue to work with each divisional Technical and Training lead to hold Content Migration sessions where we provide central support and migration assistants.

Please visit our website for more information and feel free to reach out to me (or email us at lme.migration@utoronto.ca) for more information or to invite us to co lead training sessions or additional information sessions for your division.

Thank you
