Academic Toolbox Renewal

The Portal is being replaced by Quercus.

A Feature Comparison Chart has been created to help U of T Instructors and Course Staff understand the similarities and differences between the two systems.

The university has begun the transition to a new Academic toolbox powered by Canvas. As of Aug 31, 2018 the Blackboard Portal will no longer be available and all courses have to be delivered in Quercus.

What do you need to do?

  1. Explore Quercus at using the sandbox created for each instructor.
  2. Archive all the course content on the Portal by August 2018.  You may want to use this archive to build your course in Quercus, or you may prefer to build from scratch to take advantage of the simplified interface.
  3. Check the Training and Support page for more information about central and divisional training and support contacts.
